Forms of Television Advertising. This provides evidence for: Unit 30:P1,M1,D1

The different forms of Advertising:

Realist Narrative Advert:

This is a great example of a Realist narrative advert. The advantage of this Realist narrative advert is that it is honest and tells the audience information that they probably never knew about before. However the advert can seem very boring because it is full of facts and important information that most people, such as young adults, may not be interested in.

Anti-realist narrative:

This is an Anti-realist narrative advert. This is opposite to a Narrative advert, which doesn't focus on everyday thoughts and the needs of society. It focuses on things that could never happen to people and uses this to advertise the product. The advert is lively, full of humor, and the song put in the advertisement is catchy too. This will grab the audience's attention and want to buy the product more. However, not much is being said about the product which is a negative point about it. It doesn't inform the audience about any information the audience would like to know of.

Animation:

This TalkTalkTV advert is an animation advert. This Animation advert is great to watch especially for young children who like watching cartoons and like adventures. What was very good about this advert is that they decided to show the animation in a family home; the little girl's room and the little boy's room moving onto the  bathroom in a normal family home. So it is basically trying to relate to the audience telling them that your home can be as happy as this one. It also has some romance and the music that is put in it adds a cheerful affect on the audience's reaction. What isn't so good about this advertisement is that the story line doesn't exactly relate to what their trying to promote. If it hadnt shown the TalkTalkTV slogan in the ending of the advert, then no-one would really know about what it is they are trying to promote.

Documentary:

Educating Yorkshire is a good entertaining documentary advert. It is aimed at young teenagers who do go to school like these young teenagers, so they would most probably relate to this programme and also teachers who teach in secondary schools all over the UK. The advantage about this advert is that it has humour which makes it very entertaining for the audience that are watching, however it exposes the school by its bad status.

Talking Heads:

Talking heads advertising is an easy way of getting the public to buy their products very quickly and easily. It persuades the public into buying their product as it is the public themselves who are giving their opinion on it. In addition to that, this makes the product that their trying to sell more trust worthy for the public.
